A diabetes test for self-diagnosis is available either as a urine test or a blood glucose meter . With both types of diabetes rapid tests for self-diagnosis, you can check within a few minutes if you have a metabolic disorder that indicates diabetes.

Diabetes Blood Test With Blood Glucose Meter
The diabetes test with the blood glucose meter measures the concentration of glucose in the blood. A blood glucose meter is an irreplaceable companion and helper in everyday life for insulin-dependent diabetics.
With this device, the blood glucose meter can be measured quickly and easily every day. The diabetes test strip relays an electrical signal to the meter. The electrical signal is converted by the microprocessor of the blood glucose meter into a person who the patient can read on the display.

Depending on the device, the course of the diabetes test may vary slightly. Therefore the measurement of the glucose content in the blood is shown schematically:
- Get a blood drop by piercing the fingertip with the supplied lancet or by pressing the trigger to pierce the device, depending on the device type.
- Place the blood stripe on the provided field on the test strip.
- Insert the test strip into the slot provided on the blood glucose meter.
- Wait a few seconds for the instrument to display the measurement result. Read your current blood glucose value and act according to the instructions.
